Hector Garcia is Vice President of Engineering for BendixKing, a subsidiary of Honeywell Aerospace and Honeywell International. Hector leads the engineering team consisting of Aircraft Systems Integration, Systems, Software, Hardware, Test, and Sustainment engineering services.

Prior to becoming Vice President of Engineering for BendixKing, Garcia was the Engineering Director for Honeywell Electronic Systems holding several leadership positions including the Customer Engineering Leader for Honeywell Aerospace Business & General Aviation assigned to Dassault Aviation. He was responsible for all Electrical and Mechanical Avionics development bridging the complexities of the Program Management Office and Engineering for schedule and cost adherence as well as all customer pursuits, capital approvals, and resource prioritizations. In this role, Garcia was instrumental in multi-million dollar development savings through a shortened development life cycle process and critical customer pursuit wins.

Prior to being the Director of Engineering for the Business & General Aviation business, Garcia led a global engineering department in Flight Management Systems servicing Honeywell Business & General Aviation customers. He was responsible for hundreds of global and domestic engineers with the Performance Flight Management Systems department where he achieved in short order the completion of 4 major customer development efforts through deployment of restructuring internal groups to capitalize on resource skills resulting in 2x efficiencies.

Prior to the Flight Management Systems position, Garcia was the Engineering & Technology Functional Leader that led and directed the startup of Honeywell Puerto Rico Engineering. In this role, he was responsible of working with local Government and University Relations while initiating the deployment of all Aerospace Engineering Centers of Excellences. His direct leadership engagement resulted in over 300 engineers employed and operating with minor oversight in 2.5 years. He was able to deploy Aerospace curriculums with the two major Universities within the first year of his arrival resulting with relations that are still strongly tied to Honeywell employment of Puerto Rico graduates globally within Honeywell.

Prior to being the Engineering & Technology Functional Leader, Garcia led the Honeywell Defense & Space Displays & Graphics global department for all fixed and rotary wing development programs. He was responsible for hundreds of millions in Defense development contracts with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, and directly with Government agencies. A 25 year veteran in the aerospace industry, Garcia worked for Schafer Corporation and Westar Corporation two small business Aerospace engineering companies while starting his engineering career with General Electric Aerospace out of Daytona Beach Florida where in all three companies he held several increasingly significant engineering roles.

Garcia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of New Mexico and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, fluent in Spanish, and leads the Honeywell Corporate Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers National Convention team.
